Nokia - The Nokia N8 isn't as thin as some other current smartphones, but the added heft is worthwhile if you want a mobile that packs a camera of genuine class. The N8's 12-megapixel snapper has a xenon flash, so it will cope with most lighting conditions, and can also shoot high-def video. RIM - The BlackBerry Bold 9900 is the first of a new range of BlackBerry mobiles and, at the time of writing, it's just gone on sale.
